moose and cat say hi Welcome to my personal website, my little piece of the interhighway, my personal asylum where I can post all sorts of personal stuff for visitors to enjoy. My site has gone under many visual changes to become what you see now in front of you. Please feel free to browse and check out what I have to offer here.

I created this site years ago for many different reasons, that all still hold true to this day.

So I could tell people that I had a website
So I can post for download games and programs I have made
So I have a working example of my web programming skills so I could keep myself up-to-date with current standards and to use when I am trying to get freelance work.

I try to update this site as much as possible so it stays fresh and is worth the time for visitors to return. I am slowly recoding the site to make it more dynamic and allow me to update the site easier. So check back later to see new and improved scripting.

My Other Sites

dont you wish you could As a way of keeping my programming skills sharp and up-to-date, as well as separating completely different topics, I created 2 other sites to use. The first site I have is the one you are currently on, which was the only site I originally had so everything was here. Now that I am trying to get as much freelance work as I can to help cover the cost of gas and stuff, I created a new site dedicated to that and moved all my web programming related material there.

The other site I created and moved stuff over to is the personal site of my fiance Chrissy and I. Yes we have our own website for the two of us. You can find all sorts of information about us and our families as well as trips and stuff we have gone on. Don't worry, it doesn't get all too mushy. Now that we are getting married this site will serve as the wedding site to post information there and keep people up to date on the various wedding details.

Tidbits About This Site

Since this is a personal website I figured what I should do is explain some of the things that you might see here. You might see things that don't make sense to you so I will explain them in best detail here.

Website icon: this icon is a version of the Zodiac symbol for Cance, which is my birth sign. I wanted a favicon to be something that was personal and simple and using a Zodiac symbol just popped into my head one day and I tried to make one.
Site design: the idea for this site came from a template at the Open Source Web Design. The templates are given free and I took it and cleaned up all the code for the site.
Navigating: to navigate the site, you need to return to the index page. This way all the pages are linked to from 1 place and allows you to easily find your place and move around.

Updates To The Site

very very very bad idea I am going to try and make as many updates to my site as possible. These updates could be as simple as adding some new text to a page to as complex as adding a whole new section to the site. Most of the updates will probably be photos added to the photo gallery or information about a game I am working on.

By having this list here, you can come to one place on my site that has a listing of all the changes and links to those changes so you do not have to keep clicking around the site looking for them. The dates will also be listed so it will help even more to see if anything has changed since your visit.

March 18th, 2009: I updated the PHP code to dsiplay this very list of updates to my site
March 19th, 2009: The code that allows me to show a random banner and news story were added to the pages I have
March 20th, 2009: I uploaded a bunch of photos from ym old site in the photo gallery and will have more uploaded as I edit them
